Vyom Mitra is the female robot India is planning to send into space as part of unmanned mission which they are planning to launch this year.
The chief of nation’s Space Agency, Kailasvadivoo Sivan of the India Space Research Organization described the robot to be a”half- humanoid” as it doesn’t have legs.
Vyom Mitra is “a woman” and will speak two languages for communication purposes with mission control- and possibly with astronauts in future,he added.
The prototype of Vyommitra was unveiled by the space agency on 22 January.
The chief of nation’s Space Agency revealed that the mission was about inspiring Indians and establishing the nation’s presence in space.
